a friend gave me a freshwater eel,he caught it.it’s still small and about less than 9 inches, has very small eyes.i’ve search the net when i got it but unable to find any info.however i’m sure that it ain’t an aquarium eel,and that it does grow big.they eat this kind of eel here.anyone knows a site where i can find infos bout eel?specifically freshwater eels found in the philippines..more specifically the bicol region.thank you.

It is difficult to find information since there are so few actual fresh water eels and most are actually eel looking fish.
Look up Anguilla since that is the species. You may also need to look under food (I know but they are eaten) http://www.bahaykuboresearch.net/index.p…http://www.etravelpilipinas.com/about_ph…
i would call an animal shelter im sure they have the info believe it or not and just google it
